What this site is

DeadPixel is a small Star Citizen toolkit that runs in your browser. It is not CIG software. Commodity prices come from the community UEX Corp API. Wikelo recipes come from starcitizen.tools. The CONTRA Corp page is a fan listing of the player org CONTRACO.

Use it from https://deadpixelsc.tools/ or from the home page on a local Python server. No account. No install on your phone — open the URL.

How to use it

  1. Start at Home. Pick Trade Board, Wikelo, CONTRA Corp, or this About page.
  2. Trade Board — pick your ship (or type SCU). Optionally lock “I’m at” to the pad you are standing on. Check station-only and/or auto load ↔ unload if you want freight elevators. Set a max crate size and a budget if you care. Click a column header to sort. Click a row for buy/sell pads. Refresh UEX when you want a new price pull.
  3. Wikelo — search a reward or a material (Zeus, Favor, Carinite, Onyx). Filter by Favors / Weapons / Armor / Ground / Ships. Each card is: name, what to bring, where to get those items, what you receive. Accept the contract at a Wikelo Emporium bazaar, dump the list on that station’s freight elevator, pick up the reward in local inventory.
  4. CONTRA Corp. — org pitch and a button to the official RSI page if you want to apply.

  Trade Board moved to /board. Logo and title return home.

  Auto load ↔ unload checkbox: both pads must have UEX is_auto_load.
  is_available_live / is_visible string "0" is treated as off (was truthy).
  _flag accepts 1/0, true/false, yes/no and never raises on "false".
  Redirects may only follow to the UEX API host over http(s).
  Response body capped at 20 MB; unexpected Content-Type rejected.
  Future meta.json fetched_at counts as stale so startup still refreshes.
  cache_age_sec never goes negative.
  Distance harvest merges under a lock; live/buyable uses _flag.
  run_windows.bat prefers py -3 and forwards %* args.
  _pack_scu returns 0 when max crate is set and no buy crate fits.

  scu=inf / 1e400 clamped to a finite hold (max 20,000 SCU). JSON no
  longer emits Infinity; packing empty stock no longer OverflowErrors.
  budget=nan is stored as 0 so the browser can parse the response.
  Buy/sell terminal ids compared as ints (9101 and "9101" are the same pad).
  Wiki and UEX hrefs must be http or https (blocks javascript: URLs).
  Snapshot deep-copies commodity, price, and terminal lists.
  Commodities missing an id are skipped instead of 500ing the table.
  json.dumps uses allow_nan=False as a backstop.

  Fill SCU packs buy-shop crates only. Sell-side 1 SCU boxes no longer
  invent load you cannot buy.
  /api/status phone_url uses the real --port, not a hard-coded 8765.
  System dropdown names are HTML-escaped (same as origins).
  Cache writes are atomic (*.tmp then os.replace).
  phone_url reads the live server socket.
  Max-crate filter applies to the buy shop only.
  Route table, ships, commodities, and drawer escape terminal names.
  Snapshot includes distances so a refresh cannot flip route times mid-request.
  Cache manifest (sha256) written last; mixed files fail closed on load.
  ship=c no longer becomes Hull C. Exact name or one unique 3+ letter match.
  Overlapping route fetches: newest request wins.
  box=-1 / box=nan treated as any size.

  Hybrid MobiGlas glass + DeadPixel prism theme.
  Dark field kept for numbers. Cyan frames, gold titles.
  Logo is hex-cut to match the mark.
  Tags: AUTO lime, STATION cyan, CAP gold, ILLEGAL / CHECK magenta.
  Refresh button is a cyan plate with gold type.

  Fill SCU = ship hold capped by shop stock, budget, and crate mix.
  CAP tag when you cannot fill the whole grid.
  "I'm at" locks the buy shop.
  Max crate filter (1–32 SCU).
  Budget ¤ cap (0 = no cap).
  Compact columns for phones.
  System filter requires both ends in that system.
  Refresh UEX runs in a background thread so the page stays live.
